At Global Tyre Solutions we provide the most up-to-date solutions for all aspects of the tyre repair industry. Our specialty is in the repair of giant OTR tyres, an area that has changed dramatically over the past few years. As leaders in Tap Rap CABLE REPLACEMENT TECHNOLOGY we have the solution to many tyre injuries previously thought to be non-repairable. Our clients have shown a drastic reduction in their “scrap tyre” dump by making use of our proficiency in the use of this technique. Numbers are ranging as high as 65% of previously scrapped tyres are being returned to service and showing excellent results in running hours.
Cable Replacement Technology from Tap Rap Tyre Repair is a patented, European process involving unique materials and application technique. With these products we can return the damaged structure of the tyre to close to original strength, flexibility, construction and integrity, and do it with utmost safety for the end user.
Global Tyre Solutions set up on-site tyre repair stations which are equipped for radial, bias and cable replacement repairs. These repair stations allow our staff to evaluate our repairs in service.
Why repair OTR tyres?
- Worldwide shortage of OTR tyres
- Ever increasing cost of new tyres that are associated with ever increasing costs of raw materials
- Environmental reasons
- Increase in demand for OTR tyres
- Lower cost per hour
Bias Tyres
Tyre repairs greatly prolong tyre life, thereby reducing overall cost per hour. This involves removing damaged tyres before the injury has migrated into a large irreparable damaged area. Preventative maintenance is important on bias ply tyres, as these tyres have multiple plies that could cause separations if not caught early.
Cable replacements on radial tyres
Our method of cable replacement repairing enables us to repair tyres which normally would be deemed irrepairable. This is a process where damaged steel cords are removed and replaced with new steel cords. The damaged area is reinforced and replaced with a patch that is filled with rubber on the outside and then cured. Tyres with serious sidewall cuts are able to be repaired and returned into service.
We have a 1000 hour guarantee on all repairs, including cable replacement repairs, subject to the level of tyre maintenance being carried out at an acceptable standard.
